I thought the best picture was the Pioneer Elite plasma, but at $7k was way out of my budget. I decided on the Sony SXRD rear projection (It's only 8-10 inches deep) at $2200. It's still a very good image with no "rainbow effect" visible on most LCDs, but the plasma was better.
