RE: CRT Coolant

Hi there

The coolant is a gylcol fluid (like auto antifreeze).

I've read that the glycol is conductive, so you do not want to get any of this fluid on the electronic boards or parts.

For a vendor, I know that MCM Electronics sells this coolant. I've purchased from MCM several times, but not this coolant or pump products.

On the CRT PJ I have (NEC), the coolant chamber has silicone seals. But you should inspect the PJ first. Are the glass faces intact and not cracked? Usually one side of the chamber is the CRT face, and the other side is plate glass (for an air-coupled lens). If the setup has liquid-coupled lenses, then it would be CRT face and a lens face.

Regards
