They destroyed every local VHS rental shop, then sat back and didn't innovate. The tried to sell music, both new and used, and that failed miserably. Then the disregarded Netflix until it was too late. They had the resources to establish the same model that Netflix gambled on, but instead tried to drive out rival rental B+M stores. I won't miss Blockbuster.
