RE: say it ain't so

Don't take my word. After watching Avatar I googled around for reviews JIC... I mean, it was extremely slightly possible my system had a setup error...NOT! I am a bit anal about regularly checking the A/V system is "correct". Anyway, the reviewers I trust for technical assessment agree, all commented on the lack of appropriate LFE. If someone reviewing missed that, time for a new pointy hat and an ear-cleaning...and yes I'm pointing directly at someone you can probably guess at.

It is still good though. When I had finished watching the extended version (~3 hrs.) I wanted to watch it again immediately, it was kind of enervating/energizing in the small room. Something about it, normally I can barely sit still long enough for a 2 hr. movie. It works well at home, very immersive. The audio *is* fairly smooth though, maybe it's supposed to be soothingly smooth?

The other day I just mentioned a few BD titles I haven't watched. One just happens to be Dances With Wolves. I smell a double feature coming up...
