Setting up an input on the TV for watching 3D from Blu-ray player.

Looking for advice for watching 3D Blu-rays on the TV. I have a Panasonic 65" GT30 and a Panasonic 3D Blu-ray player. The player is connected to the HDMI 2 input and the picture mode called "Custom" has been adjusted very well for regular Blu-ray viewing.

When watching 3D on the same picture mode "Custom" the first thing noticed is that the glasses themselves which have a darkened tint to them alters a bit of the brightness, contrast and colors of the picture.

My thought is to set up another picture mode on the same input for when viewing 3D material such as using the picture mode "THX".

Another thought that came to mind was to set this picture mode up with my Spears & Munsil Blu-Ray Benchmark disc while wearing the 3D glasses (powered off) to compensate for the effect of the tinted glasses while adjusting contrast, color and brightness.

Don't know if this recommended or not or if their are any other suggestions anybody might have. Just want to optimize the viewing experience. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Thank you
JimF
