Need recommendations to download movies.....

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

My wife and I usually go to the theater to watch movies and we have occasionally rented DVDs from Blockbuster stores. Now that the stores have closed we need to be able to download our rental movies.
Yes, we are complete video rental dummies...So, what service should we use? We don't want to join a service with monthly rental fees. Just pay for what we want to watch. And is it possible to download 3D Movies?
