ive tried component out on a dvd player with an onkyo rec that does pass thru video.. same player has hdmi to a denon rec. I get no sound or picture thru pass thru. I have a sony bravia too if you have 2 video outputs plug one to the tv. it would be nice to do it your way. I looked at my menu too to see if I can get something to work on the denon for pass thru.. no luck
