Matched speakers are best...

One thing I forgot, in a surround sound system, timbre matching of the speakers is very important. The front to back and side to side transition makes a big difference. For this reason I generally recommend that folks use speakers from the same mfgr. and within the same product line. Energy towers might be a better match than the Tritons.

However, if you are thinking of upgrading the system sometime in the future, gettting the Tritons might be a good first step. Later on you could round out the system using Golden Ear's Aeon speakers for the surrounds. The center channel would be well served using one of Golden Ear's SuperCenters...
