Center channel advice

I have a home theater set up using 4 Platinum Audio Trio floor standing speakers and a powered subwoofer. My center channel is a Platinum Audio center channel ( a Duo I believe but not sure). It came with the system and matches the other speakers in appearance except for size. I am using a Cinepro 3kse power amplifier and a Pioneer Elite sc-07 receiver.
I am considering changing the center channel to a Klipsch RC 64II. I feel the sound from the center is not as full and clear as I would like but I am not sure if it is the center channel or the receiver that I need to address.

I would also like some feed back on the equipment itself. I bought this system many years ago and feel it is a high quality system.
