RE: Ping: E-STAT

Thanks for the heads up. It's true I don't spend as much time here.

I believe the issue is with my older Emotiva UMC-1 processor. Ironically, I used their upgrade card and purchased a UMC-200 unit after reading the following:

"In the past, switching video inputs was often slow and unreliable, but not with the UMC-200. Thanks to Xpressviewâ„¢ switching technology, switching between HDMI inputs on the UMC-200 is clean and concise, and requires as little as a second. "

Unfortunately, after I put in into the system, I found it wouldn't work. The problem is one of HDMI level compatibility. My nearly ten year old Samsung DLP (which happens to work just fine) is not truly HDMI compliant. I must use a DVI to HDMI adapter which worked fine with the older processor. Perhaps when that unit dies and I purchase a new monitor, then I'll be able to enjoy relatively quick switching.

It's very annoying.
