I would keep it as a "collectable" ... at some point, the discs will be generally "interesting" to some future generation ... the WTF is that factor.
... there are people who collect obsolete formats. You could sell it on Amazon Marketplace or eBay.
I've seen many HD DVD(s) for good prices before too. Always wanted to purchase a player but I have not got around to doing it yet.
