just heard a local radio jock and former USC football captain relate a story where Simpson was doing a video and it was thought he would look better wearing his letterman's jacket, so he bounded upstairs and got it , and was back in a flash to resume taping. .
Two weeks later his mom was on the stand saying how he could never have jumped the fence because his arthritis was so de- habilitating. A big USC football booster paid all of the legal bills.
I think the los angels D.A. office really bungled the case , but with all the animosity toward the behavior of the los Angeles police department, a conviction would have been tough.
One of the guys I worked with went to his big victory party when he was declared innocent. I toe a different moral line and lost all respect for that guy . A double murder and motherless children in the aftermath isn't a turn the page deal with me , if anyone cares to ask.
