on the subject of 'movie grade popcorn'....

Posted by user510 on December 22, 2016 at 15:45:08:

As a general rule I skip the over-priced soft drinks and popcorns. Just the movie please.
At my last movie (Rogue One) I could not help but appreciate the aroma, if that's the word, of the heavily buttered popcorn wafting over me. The odor of this was not enough to distract me from the movie, however I could not help but appreciate certain aspects of this warm aroma. It seems as if the butter/sauce has certain ingredients within it that may have a shelf life prior to spoilage....and perhaps that particular barrel of popcorn was drenched in a butter sauce that had expired. There was this certain sense of.....rot.

I'm glad I didn't have any.
