The Harkins theaters I love have the best popcorn...

Posted by jeffreybehr on December 23, 2016 at 00:23:30:

...I've ever eaten (without additional 'butter' applied), and a movie and popcorn are inseparable for me.

Harkins pops theirs in some kind of oil, but their 'butter' is actually butter, or at least that's what the concession-stand kid told me.

Along with the best 'corn, they issue vouchers when you appear in one of their $25-per-year T-shirts, and that voucher gets you a medium 'corn free or a REFILLABLE large bag for an additional dollar. Hence one gets TWO bags of 'corn for a dollar. They sell refillable-for-$1.50 sodacups, too, so LOTS of popcorn and plenty of drink--I prefer Coke Zero--costs only as little as $1.50. :-)

One also receives a 'corn voucher when one adds $25 to your Harkins giftcard, so I often have a stack thick enough to give my daughter a dozen or so for my granddaughters' school breaks.

It's a wonderful life. :-)
