RE: Stephen King

Posted by user510 on January 29, 2017 at 10:27:18:

Back in the 1980's I read a few of King's novels.....and liked them. However the movie versions of same never had the same involvement for me. So....if the only exposure to King's work is through the movies,.....I could see the negative impression.

"The Stand" was an epic read. The TV mini-series version of that novel, I found to be lacking and not anywhere near as involving.

"The Dead Zone"...another turd of a movie but the novel was great.

Since then I generally don't bother to see any Stephen King movies, or that recent TV series (The Dome).
