Yes, you can use the audio return feature. That's what i do, it cuts down on the number of cables.
Just make sure that the HDMI cable is hooked to the ARC in/out of both your Oppo and your TV. There is an option on the Oppo to set it to HDMI/ARC as the Input/output. I *think* it is HDMI 3(it will say). Set the TV to Blu-ray input, set the BD player to HDMI ARC, and then go back to TV.
