Amazon has a show called Television Playhouse. Episode 4 tells the true story of George Voskovec. A Czechoslovakian that had gone back and forth between there and the US several times after the war. He worked in theatre both there and the states. He married an American.
He came back to the States in 1950. This time detained by customs and sent to Ellis Island where he spent months trying to prove he was admissable.
This story is true , worth watching and most interesting is the actor that played him.
Himself of course! This was relevant as it was done in the McCarthy era. Produced by David Susskind.
The next episode is The Bachelor Party written by Paddy Chayefsky. Eddie Albert stars and it opens with an alarm clock ringing and a man and woman in a queen bed together. That didn't happen on TV or many movies either in 1953. On top of that they're not married and she's three months pregnant!
How progressive. What a slut. Just kidding. We all know it takes two to tango.
