I'm not a big Woody Allen fan... however I do LOVE his drama films...

I just watched Blue Jasmine on Netflix... WOW!!!! Cate Blanchett turns in a tour de force performance as the socialite wife who struggles with her demons... Allen also directed another of my favorite films and actresses in his film Interiors which was a homage to Ingmar Bergman... Geraldine Page in that film, turns in a performance that was not to be believed!!! That year Jane Fonda won for Coming Home, and Jane's performance was good... but not of the caliber and nuance of Ms. Page... Anyway, I was glad to see Ms. Blanchett justifiably be rewarded for her work on Blue Jasmine MOST definitely deserved!
