Shot in 1960, released then pulled in 61 due to a dispute with the distribution deal.
The director said he was trying to emulate Val Lewton.
Been becoming a cult classic the last decade or so

Cool opening scene in a jazz club featuring Paul Horn (fl) Joe Gordon (t) Jimmy Bond (b) and Milt Turner (d).

I say it's worth watching. It's on Prime.
