It is a very well crafted movie, I don't think you will have any problems. In los Angeles, I have to go to a revival house to see an actual film projection, perhaps your location is different.
I remember an interior scene in a bar as perhaps the darkest scene, and it was still good looking.
My suggestion is to go with a good crowd in attendance, the communal shared experience is uniquely human and adds a lot to the experience.
