I believe the kid was James' cuz all the references to the "blue eyes."
I think, after a day of reflection , that the director for this was just all wrong. No pacing, way too many action sequences that had no originality. And trying to make a Bond movie into a sentimental one was a bad move.
Lastly, the climactic scene in the pool? Ridiculous. A guy as smart as the key nemesis who got that close to 007--- that would be moronic. And what happened to the early villain w/the glass eye? He should have had a spectacular death, now... I can't even recall his demise. Just another among the tens and tens of dead guys. And what's with the prudishness? No nudity, no real sex. Is James Bond a Boy Scout, for goodness's sake? Don't get me started on Blofeld. Talk about nonessential, anti-climactic, and weak! Compare his performance to any in his collaborations with Tarantino: the guy can be riveting. Here? "Gimme the check" must have been his strongest statement.
