'The Whale': Fraser's master class . . .

Posted by Billy Wonka on January 17, 2023 at 18:21:23:

Suited up to about 700 pounds, Fraser plays the highly emotional schoolteacher who is looking for redemption and peace before he dies from congested heart failure. His daughter shows up with a "mad at daddy" attitude to punish him for leaving her mom for another man.

Being an Aronofsky film, it can be difficult to watch the revealing and self-conscience moments of the main characters. Fraser jumped off the diving board creating his character with tender emotions.

Fraser won Best Actor from Critics Choice but missed at the Globes. It will be interesting to see if the money-makers at the Academy pay any attention to this film.

If you are feeling brave then proceed to the ticket booth.
