The Days

well that was about as realistic of a disaster film as I have seen. It's about the Fukushima Daiichi nuke disaster in 2011. We all watched it unfold from wherever we were then but this is the recounting of the event by the guy who was there trying to manage it for days on end. Japanese film on Netflix. I watched the first couple episodes in dubbed English, then switched to Japanese with English subtitles, which usually works better for me. But even the dubbed version was well done. You feel the guys' pain throughout the whole mini-series. It's just 6 episodes I think. Heavy duty. The sets were very realistic, btw. Probably shot at some abandoned refinery or similar industrial facility. And they are still working on it as I type.
