Once again, Paolo Sorrentino makes love to you . . .

With style, beauty, and panache, he and his cinematographer draw a tighter focus on the characters in this fanciful tale of a young woman who has a profound effect on everyone she encounters in her beloved Naples.

'Parthenope' is a gorgeous film, but with a slightly more limited scope than his previous winners. Celeste Dalla Porta captures you with her complete lack of inhibition as she smiles, grins, laughs, or smolders into the camera. All the other players merely orbit her as suitors or possessors but a few are drawn as homages to grandiose Italian stereotypes.

Check Prime to see if it's still available. I had to order a copy from Austalia which was Region 0.

Go fall in love all over again.
