Pirates Part 3

Posted by dave c on May 28, 2007 at 02:11:51:

Is it necessary to really say much about this film? Is it possible?
Obviously one of the scurvy crew stole the plot and substituted the complexities of Wacky Races. Once the jokes about Knightly's anatomy are out of the way, it's basically a series of stunts and a mindboggling continuous series of double crosses which as far as I could see make as much sense as episode 2 did... or less.
The effects are very funny. Depp and Bloom probably keep the girls happy and Knightly manages the neat trick of drying immediately she gets out of the water thus spoiling the pretty girl/wet clothes schtick.
I guess people would say it's a theme park ride of a film. I never go to theme parks.
I actually enjoyed it as long as my brain was turned off as the story weaves as much as Keith Richards on the way to the stage.
