I'm a Leonard Cohen fan but I was a little disappointed with the concert/film. I liked many of Hal Wilner's prior projects but I thought this one was weak. Too many of the performers have excessively mannered styles that I thought undercut the material. If I had produced it I would have gone primarily to gospel and R&B singers. I would also be interested to hear Neko Case's take on some of Leonard Cohen's songs.
