I pretty much agree with your review. For me, like other bay movies, it has a great premise, a great start and slowly degraded into mindless action and cheap attempts at humor. Had this movie maintained the style and sense of realism of the opening transformer attack and gone on to develoip an interesting story arc it could have been amazing. Instead by the time it was done Bay had managed to nausiate me with a relentless barrage of effects that lacked style or substance but were filled literally with frenetic busyness to the point that you couldn't take anything in.
