Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten, and I wish this film was too.

This is a documentary made by JUlian Temple, beloved of punks but who has never really made a decent film... although I stand open for correction there perhaps...
BAsed around the intercut elements of "at the time" video footage and groups of people sitting round camp fires talking about JS, this film suffers the worst of both.
Unfortunately no one is identified during the campfire sessions leaving the well known people to take the limelight. What is Johnny Depp doing there as he never met Strummer?
Not even the interesting characters such as Caroline Coon who if I remember rightly once managed The Clash is identified or allowed to say anything interesting.
Certain people like Cosmo Vinyl and Roadent who roadied for both The Clash and The Sex Pistols and who was almost the sole carrier of that nihilistic punk lifestyle and attitude are completely missing, unless they have aged very unfortunately!
Tis is very much a missed opportunity and should be filed away with The Great Rock'N'Roll Swindle as something to never be watched again.
