Ahh, so you think Australians have a 'convict stain', do you!?

I object just a bit, because I think it is a bit hypocritical to try slur another ex-colony of that sort!? 4 fingers pointing back at you.

Britain established a convict settlement here, and sent them for about 70 years, it had to - thanks to your War of Independence*, ......

Having sent far more members of their criminal classes to the former colonies in America, and kept it up much longer, more than a century!

Or have you too succumbed to the BBBrains about your pre-independence days, only some of it from the DOAR, and the euphemism 'indentured servants'!?

Never read 'Moll Flanders'!?

* It was common in Britain from the 1760's and through the 'American Revolution' and later to attribute some of it to those criminal antecedents mingled well into your population of free persons. A lot of them Irish, to boot.

So, leave it out, willya!

Or I'll be forced to suggest that having a Mick-ish name, you're probably one of those unreliable, feckless, rebellious persons called Irishmen - ;-)!
