Wow - I must be getting old - I can't remember the name of the then-young relatively well-known actor or the name of the movie. This nerdy kid somehow scores a date with the hot chick but gets lost on the wrong side of town because of a magnet screwing up the dashboard compass or something like that. He goes into a bar and is served some concoction that makes him black-out. The rest of the movie is rescuing his girl and car through a variety of funny adventures. In the end he is a hero to the chick and has become something of a "bad boy". What the heck was that movie?
