Jesse James: legends of the fool

Posted by dave c on November 15, 2007 at 12:46:46:

I just got to see it yesterday and I thought it not a minute too long.
Unusually showing the deep psychosis of JJ, a man who you would never know if he was going to slap you on the back or put a bullet in it and contrasting him with the fantasies of Bob.
Beautifully photographed in a manner occasionally reminiscent of a Mallick film although the movement on the screen would never allow any confusion between the two, and the use of distortion made me think of the tunnel vision of the characters.
I enjoyed it a lot.
