Haven't seen Walk Hard, but Water Horse is one of the most thoughtful, (dare I say heart-warming) fantasy films that my wife & I have seen in several years. While I hesitate to compare this film with any other, stylistically Water Horse reminds me of the high quality Disney live action films of the early 60's (Thomasina, etc.) which had great acting, interesting stories and depth.
