It didn't take long to realize that it must have served as a template for Superbad: the Quest, the drugs, even the weirdo cops. (Are Cheech & Chong movies like that too?) And like Superbad, it was raunchy and hilarious -- although both films could have used some editing of raunch that just stands there inert.

But all sins are forgiven when the gags are mostly laugh-out-loud funny, the acting is so spot-on and the set decorators are put on short leash.
