As I said below in response to someone who found it tedious and boring:
"I thought it was possibly the best film I saw in 2007. I was not bored for a single second. Au contraire, I found it insightful, sensual, humane and rivetting."
As for the actresses - I say PFFFTTT!!
Plenty women are beautiful IRL. The point is, in his heightened, isolated state of awareness, that's how Dauby "saw" his caregivers. One assumes the twice married editor of French Elle was already quite sensitive to female pulchritude.
