Need help in identifying an old movie.

Posted by Spinner on April 2, 2008 at 10:43:03:

I watched this movie in the early sixties. The film was in color and took place in modern times. The opening scene shows a delivery man dropping off a package to an apartment where two beautiful women resided.
One of the women opens the package and inside is a pair of binoculars. Curious, she picks them up, puts them to her eyes, turns the focus knob and two spikes fly-out and kill her.

That scene is the only thing my impressionable young mind remembers about that film. I do recall watching 'The Man with the X-Ray Eyes' sometime during that period in my life but I haven't been able to find it as a rental to check if the binocular scene is in it.

What movie this scene was in has been like a splinter in my brain for over fourty years. I'm hoping someone in this forum can help remove it.

Thanks in advance.
