I could almost taste the dirt

this film has so much atmosphere. Ray Winstone, John Hurt and Guy Pearce were all well cast and there are some tense moments between them. Ray Winstone playing a marshall who can barely hold his men at bay - he also twists Guy's will and a meeting between Guy and John Hurt is memorable as well.

This sort of thing is right up my alley, funny I do not remember the music being so loud but it has been several months since I saw it.

One of the best films of its type in the last several years IMO...
