cliché patterns of Hollywood, i.e. the one noble criminal, the bad cop, the good cop, the whore with the golden heart, the cynical sub-text that crime is not really from any business, etc.
There also is no one guy armed with a handgun shooting down ten others armed with automatic rifles.
I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.
Now, on another topic, I just finished Part 1 of Satantango.
Brilliant.
Classic.
I simply cannot absorb any more for a few days, even though Tarr said it should be seen in one sitting. That, I think, is physically impossible, at least for me. 7 1/2 hours of Bela, straight!
