I thought there were a hundred people that could replace Johnny on the Tonight Show. Hell, I thought I could do a better job.
But then the years went by and nobody even came close. I stopped watching.
There's a bunch of old guys I grew up watching. George Burns, Bob Hope, and a hundred more. And most are gone now.
It gets worse as you get older. The older you get, the less you recognise
the world around you. Nor do you especially want to. I have no interest in hip hop, crass comedians, lousy talk show hosts, reality shows, or 6th rate dramas.
