I completely agree. I have to say up front I have biases. I was snubbed by this production for the job of makeup. I found it interesting that you found fault with the makeup in particular. Ironically they went to great expense to digitally fix those makeups. When I saw how bad this movie was regardless of the makeup I was relieved that they chose not to use my services. In the end I think it simply proved crazy to try to adapt this piece of literature to the cinema. That always loomed in the back of my head even when I was trying to land this job.
