Slumdog Millionaire: this is the film I have been waiting for all year

I don't think that is over reaching and I will try not to give too much away.
This is a British film directed by Danny Boyle taken from an Indian book and at least half shot as a tribute to Bollywood.
It sets a story of poverty in the slums of Mumbai, in fact below the slums, children living in garbage, children used, abused, mutilated and tortured, and the banality of the evil will make you choke, against winning big on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
And it's more than that.
For me this might be film of the year.
It is certainly in that region.
The acting, the stylistic changes, the music (A.R.Rahmann), in fact everything, adds up to the best thing I have seen in ages.
A lot of reviews are saying life affirming.
If so be prepared to cry all along the way.
The drama is between Shakespeare and Bollywood and the better for both.
There are scenes here that will live with you.
Scenes that will literally stop your breathing.
Scenes where you wonder how children can act like that.
See it in a cinema just for the bottom end on the soundtrack both of trains annd planes and the music.
See it as soon as possible.
A very great film.
