I have read the novels a long time ago and Craig is indeed a match.

It's the movies and the movie Bonds that are less than faithful to the books. Which is a valid direction. Just not one that has always been appealing to me.

But having read the books, as soon as Craig was announced I thought - "great choice!"

My age is below also - suffice to say I have passed the half-century mark.
