I like Heroes, even though the story can get a little screwy here and there, but that show itself seems to be a take-off from X-men. It's not to fakey in the special effects department, is it? That was one nice thing about the X-men movies, they didn't go overboard on the fakey cgi stuff(like they did in parts of the last 3 Star Wars movies). CGI is fine, as long as it doesn't look like CGI, that's the real trick.
