RE: Seven Pounds: SPOILER

Posted by delboy on April 15, 2009 at 06:33:48:

I watched this one at the weekend. Despite a fairly restrained performance from Smith this is one of the worst films I have seen in many a year. The story is utter nonsense and the ending is Hollywood at its absolute worst.

If they change the law and allow people to nominate me to receive their organs I hope the health service have the sense to ensure the donor has not been poisoned by a deadly jellyfish (the ideal house pet it would seem).

Was there any need for the donees (?) to meet up and show their mutual appreciation of the selfless act of a guy who soiled the memory of the wife he killed (albeit accidentally) and went on to risk his brother's livelihood?

Sentimental tripe which appears to have a message way too sophisticated for me to understand.
