One of the most underrated films of all time

I saw it at the base theater at Subic Bay. What I got from listening to those around me is that there was no middle ground with this movie. A few people really loved it and the rest seemed to think it dull and incomprehensible.

IMHO, it's one of the great films of the 70s and proof that a film does not need a huge budget to be a success. I'll bet it cost about 1/100 what Coppola spent on "Apocalypse Now."

This is the film that proved to me that Hackman is something special. He's been in a lot of not so good movies but when he's in something worthy of his talents he shines very brightly.
