... working in IT development and at the BBC around 1980 and 4 or 5 pints of beer at lunch was NOT unusual, then straight to the pub after work.
It's adrenaline got them through.
That and the prescription drug/coke/dope entertainments so many gathered en route.
And people thought we were extreme in the music business!
