Fantasic Mr. Fox: "Because I am a wild animal."

Wes Anderson wrote the screenplay for this kid's novel and, along with brilliant casting, turned out a film that can just barely call itself a "kid's movie". I think more adults were laughing than children and that just what I was hoping for since I noticed kids outnumbered adults 3 to 1.
Mr. Fox (Clooney) was married (Streep) and finally got captured stealing squab from the local poultry farm. After managing to escape he turned over a new leaf and had a cub (Jason Schwartzman). Tired of feeling poor Fox wanted to move above ground and soon found a tree. After his lawyer (B. Murray) failed to talk him out of it Fox and family took up residence in a tree overlooking at three very large farms with the apple/alcoholic cider factory run by the always commendable Michael Gambon. Soon Fox's instincts get the best of him and he endeavors to pull off one last "big job" by robbing all three farms in his line of sight without Mrs. knowing.
This is a great marvel of production as the main characters having a seemingly claymation look with action integrated with SOTA animation and set to a hip well blended soundtrack. There are outright guffaws and tongue-in-cheek giggles all the way through as Fox schemes, plots, and pep talks his way through to the end.
This is a very entertaining movie with other notables not mentioned (Dafoe, eg.) and worth a visit to the cinema. Go late so there won't be as many kids. Most of it is over their heads anyway.
