RE: 10,000 to 15,000 Polish soldiers, many of them officers, executed (bullet in the back of the head)

Too painful to watch for me. I was raised to belief that Katyn story is just a German lie and western imperialists propaganda. It's hard to swallow that 20 years of your life are full of deception and propaganda brain washing lies. Also after seeing a few of late Wajda's movies I think he's finished and burned out. He casts a long shadow over Polish film scene. I love his movies up to late 80's. After , he just drains small budget for film production in Poland thanks to his fame and connections. I wished he retired and saved his name.Teach and enjoy his status. It's like Walesa story. He could be a "living statue" a revolutionary hero ,respected and loved but he fell in love with his public image and now is disregarded and commonnly tought of in Poland as a pathetic idiot.
Sorry for hijacking your "Danton" thread. W. Pszoniak is one of my favorite Polish actors (maybe because he lives in France:).He's one of the very few able to bring theatrical qualites from stage to movie without
being pretentious.I'm not sure if Wajdas's "Ziemia obiecana" (promised land") is available in english but it's a great movie and Pszoniak plays a briliant part in it.Regards, L
