It's been a nice run of fresh Dvd's of late - 7 in a row that I can recommend after a long drought this fall had me checking out tv re-runs:

500 Days of Summer
District 9 - flawed and slow but once it got there you want more
Julia - maybe the best of the lot - positively Fargo like
Moon - last night, haunting little movie
Hurt Locker - brilliant
Inglourious Bastards - maybe the weakest of this group
Sin Nombre - walked around for a week with this one playing in my head / haunting
