This really isn't very complicated, tin. When a peacenik talks about picking up an axe and censoring someone, even your ears should perk up.
The very line "no direction home" refers to the fact that Dylan wasn't beholden to any group--not the pop artists of the day nor the anti-establishment artists of the day like Seeger. "You shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you."
