i thought this was a bad year for movies and the mindless ones worked best for me: Zombieland, Sherlock Holmes and Hurt Locker were just fine. I thought Hurt Locker put you in the middle of the action and had decent production detail, sound design and performances. I want it to win best picture just to stick it to Avatar.
